In less than two years, Newfoundland’s Brothers In Stereo has garnered quite a reputation in Atlantic Canada and beyond. Fronted by brothers Andrew and Chris LeDrew, BIS combines catchy pop hooks and memorable lyrics with a rootsy image that has broad appeal. Focusing on vocal harmony, BIS is blessed with the “family blend” of voices: two brothers and a first cousin.

Since the beginning of BIS in the spring of 2003, an assortment of accolades has come their way: a CBC Galaxie Rising Star award 2003, NL regional songwriting contest winner 2004/2005, and ECMA nominations 2004/2005. They have received extensive airplay in Atlantic Canada, being one of the only East Coast acts to ever have a single (“The Worst Crowd”) in heavy rotation on Halifax’s Q-104. Videofact also approved this single in September 2003, and the video was featured on MuchMusic along with an interview by Hannah Sung.

BIS has toured extensively through Ontario, building a fan base that grows with every trip. They have done shows with Great Big Sea, Sam Roberts, Crush and many more. Their latest single, “Your Voice”, is a smash hit on Atlantic Canadian radio. Many stations list it as their number one requested song. Their song “Lily” reached number two on the East Coast Countdown in Early February 2005, BIS’s third song to reach this countdown’s Top Ten.

A knack for cleverly-crafted tunes, a list of awards and a rollicking live show combine to make BIS the band to watch.
