Heeeere's SNOOK, Pete Soucy’s street-smart "corner boy" character from downtown St. John's, Newfoundland.

Quick-talking and fun-loving, SNOOK has entertained thousands on stage, radio, and TV for 15 years now. A regular on CBC's Canada Now, Lorne Elliot’s Madly Off in All Directions, and the Halifax Comedy Festival, Snook has also hosted his own variety series Wicked Night Out.

An extensive 'gig-list" includes several major ad campaigns, special events, and dozens of corporate functions every year. After two successful home-video releases, Snook’ Christmas CD proved equally popular, and a DVD is currently in the works.

Peter Soucy has been writing, acting, designing, and directing for stage, radio, and television since 1986. He is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and taught secondary school Visual Arts for several years. FLUX, the most successful of his four stage-plays, has been published, performed in several provinces and states, and adapted for television.

Peter won a Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council Award in 1985, founded Day Job Theatre in 1987, and won the Kari Award for Best Performance, Canadian TV Advertising, in 1996. He recently concluded a three year stint as Artistic Director of Rebel Island Theatre and the NaGeira Theatre Festival in Carbonear.

Best known for his character 'Snook', who appeared regularly on CBC's Here & Now for three seasons, Peter has guested on several national programs including Madly Off in All Directions, The Royal Canadian Air Farce, Dini, and the Halifax Comedy Festival. He continues to perform at dozens of festivals, special events, and corporate functions each year, released a highly successful Christmas CD in 2004, and is currently working on a DVD and TV pilot.
